Synthesis of Rabbit Globin by a Bacterial Cell Free System

Abstract

A cell free system from E. coli primed with an RNA preparation from rabbit reticulocytes produces a material having properties of rabbit globin. The presence of N-acetyl-valyl-tRNA seems essential.
