Preknowledge Survey for University Science Entrants

Abstract

In preparing university courses it may be necessary to accept a common initial achievement by students well below that which is suggested by the A-level papers they have taken. This is in many cases already university practice. A possible method for testing knowledge at this lower level is described here with some results.
