Abstract
A comparative morphological study of microcraters observed on glassy lunar spherules, and of those created on glassy materials in the laboratory, indicates strongly that ‘irons’ are the major component of the total flux of micron-sized micrometeoroids. This could be because of the differential influence of solar radiation pressure on ‘stones’ and ‘irons’.
