Amplification of rearrangements involving the KDE. The upper part of the scheme shows an Igκ locus with a Vκ/Jκ joint, the Jκ intron RSS, both κ enhancers, the κ constant region and the KDE. Positions of primers used to detect amplificates involving the KDE are indicated below. Rearrangements involving the KDE as well as the resulting PCR products are shown in the middle of the scheme.
