From: Matrix metalloproteinases, tissue inhibitors of MMPs and TACE in experimental cerebral malaria
Disease course of CM in mice treated with BB-94. Adult (8 weeks old) C57Bl/6 mice were infected with P. berghei ANKA and treated with BB-94 (▵, n=10) or with control solution (♦, n=19) 6 days after infection. The mortality was followed during the course of the disease and the difference between BB-94 treated and control-treated mice was found to be significant (P=0.009, log-rank test). The data are a compilation of two independent experiments, each with a similar and significant (P<0.05) outcome.
