Expression of c-myc and c-jun mRNAs. Representation of a Northern blot analysis of c-myc and c-jun after SO and PCS. Rats were killed 0.5 and 2 hours after surgery. Samples (20 μg of total liver mRNA) were separated by electrophoresis on agarose gel and hybridized with their respective α32P-labeled cDNAs and blotted. 18S mRNA hybridization was used as a control for loading. c-myc and c-jun were significantly increased at all investigated time points.
