Effect of aspirin on cell viability and apoptosis in colorectal cancer (CRC) cell lines. Aspirin treatment (0–10 mM) for 16 h induces a concentration-dependent decrease in viable cell number (determined by haemocytometric counts) in all CRC cell lines (A). The decrease in cell viability is proportionate at each concentration increment indicating a similar pattern of response following aspirin treatment in each cell line (B).
