BRCC2 inhibited migration and invasion via the Akt-mediated MMP-2 and MMP-9 pathways. (a) The levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in BRCC2-transfected breast cancer cell lines were detected by RT-PCR analyses. (b) The levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were examined using RT-PCT analyses after the cells had been pretreated with the Akt inhibitor LY294002 (100 nM). (c) The levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were examined using RT-PCR analyses after the cells had been transfected with Akt siRNA and its negative control. The data represent the means ±S.D. of at least three independent experiments **P<0.01, ***P<0.001
