Developing broad-spectrum treatments for snakebite envenoming is challenging due to the diverse range of venomous snakes and the complex, variable composition of venoms. Traditional plasma-derived antivenoms suffer from variable efficacy across species, risk of immunological adverse reactions, and failure to mitigate localized tissue necrosis.
