The expected and observed segregation patterns for markers in ZW-ZZ or XX-XY system are shown in the table (according to Staelens et al., 2008). Segregation patterns of all 46 markers detected by GWAS conform to patterns 1–3 within the frame. ‘A’ and ‘a’ are symbols and do not refer to ‘dominant’ or ‘recessive’.
