This en face OCT image of the superficial uriniferous tubules was taken 10 min following intravenous infusion of a single bolus of 1.0 ml containing 25% of mannitol. Note that the tubule walls are thinner and the tubule lumens are expanded when compared with control samples (see Figure 3). In the center of the field is a glomerulus (arrow).
