Ultrastructure of isolated eosinophil granules. (ai and bi) Transmission electron microscopy of a granule-enriched fraction isolated by subcellular fractionation shows typical EoSVs, the lumens of which are highlighted in pink in (aii and bii). EoSVs are imaged as open, curved, tubular-shaped structures. EoSVs are seen around and in close association with isolated granules.
