From: Tim-4 protects mice against lipopolysaccharide-induced endotoxic shock by suppressing the NF-κB signaling pathway

Tim-4 (T-cell immunoglobulin- and mucin-domain-containing molecule-4) expression is increased in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endotoxic shock. BALB/c mice were administered LPS (15 mg/kg) by intraperitoneal injection, and saline was used as control. Eight hours later, bone marrow, spleen, lung, and kidney were excised and RT-PCR was used to detect Tim-4 mRNA expression (a). The relative expression level of Tim-4 mRNA was analyzed by Image-J software and student’s t-test (b). Real-time RT-PCR was also used to detect Tim-4 mRNA expression in these organs (c).
