The loss of TLR signaling has not affect on viral containment in the cornea. WT, Trif−/−, MyD88−/−, DKO, and CD118−/− mice were infected with 1,000 p.f.u. HSV-1 per eye. At the indicated time pi, mice were killed and corneas harvested. Viral levels in the cornea were then determined by plaque assay at (a) 120 (b), 24, and (c), 48 h pi.
