Figure 7

Two days after transplantation, stromal cells (SCs) initiated reorganization. Isolated EGFP+ SCs were embedded on a collagen sponge and transplanted into the mesentery of wild-type (wt) mice. Two days after transplantation, Neotx-LN (lymph node) was excised and analyzed for mesenchymal stem cells (anti-Dlk-1), proliferation (anti-Ki67), and LTβR expression. Numerous Dlk-1+ EGFP+ cells are seen in the border of Neotx-LN, as well as proliferating cells (Ki67+), which are mostly gp38+, and LTβR+ cells, which were also found to be gp38 or CD31-positive (n=4). Bar = 20 μm. EGFP, enhanced green fluorescent protein.
