Drug Receptors and the Haemopoietic Stem Cell

Abstract

THE pluripotent stem cell in the bone marrow of normal adult mice is in a resting stage (G0) or has a long cell cycle with only a small fraction occupied by DNA synthesis. These spleen colony forming cells1 or CFU-S2 are insensitive to the cytocidal action of high specific activity 3H-thymidine3.
