Abstract
FOUR weeks after the recent radio outburst near Cygnus X-3 (ref. 1), a search was made for infrared emission at the radio position. On the night of October 2–3, 1972, an infrared source was discovered at 2.2 and 1.6 µm. The measured flux densities are given in Table 1.
