Background: Infant mortality in Syria is at 34/1000 live births (UNICEF) and is predominantly due to neonatal mortality and related to birth asphyxia. Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of using the standard AAP and AHA neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) manual and instruction module as a training device to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers in the Syrian Arab Republic.
