Spi-C is a transcription factor induced by the RANKL-mediated JNK pathway. The activation of p38 MAPK and PI3K by RANKL regulates the nuclear translocation of Spi-C to induce osteoclast marker gene expression, thus increasing osteoclast formation and bone resorption function.
