Numerous driver mouse alleles have been used to induce Kras activation in gastrointestinal organs, including the stomach, pancreas, and colon. While several key driver genes, such as Pdx1 and Ptf1a (P48) in the pancreas and Villin in the colon, have been commonly utilized, no driver mouse models that can faithfully recapitulate the carcinogenic process are available in the gastric cancer field yet.
