  1. The overall study population was divided into three groups according to the tertiles of the plasma chemerin concentration. Continuous data are presented as median (25th quartile; 75th quartile); nominal data are given as percentages. *All-cause mortality rates were calculated per 1000 person-years. The overall population was used as the standard population for direct age standardization of the mortality rates.
