Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) content change in lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 15 mg/kg)-induced acute lung injury (ALI). a Liraglutide restored LPS-induced decrease of GLP-1 in serum, b reduced LPS-induced increase of GLP-1 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), and c inhibited LPS-induced up-regulation of GLP-1 in lung tissue at 0.8 mg/kg. d-f Up-regulation of GLP-1R and TLR4 mRNA and protein expression resulting from LPS-challenge were suppressed by liraglutide treatment.
