(A) There was no significant effect of psilocybin in mice with adult knockout of 5-HT1BR expression, however the effect of psilocybin in control mice did not reach statistical significance in this cohort either. (B) Psilocybin significantly increased entries into the open arms of the EPM in saline-treated controls mice, suggesting reduced anxiety. However, pre-treatment with the 5-HT1BR antagonist GR127935 blocked this effect, indicating the importance of 5-HT1BR activation during the acute phase of psilocybin for its anxiolytic effects. #p = 0.1; *p < 0.05.
