WT and Adam15−/− mice were exposed to air or CS for 1 month (mo), lung levels of Ccl-2 (a; n = 10–12 mice/group), Cxcl-10 (b; n = 7 mice/group), Gm-csf (c; n = 10–12 mice/group), Mmp-12 (d; n = 8 mice/group), Il-10 (e; n = 10–12 mice/group), Il-6 (f; n = 14–22 mice/group), Il-1β (g; n = 13–22 mice/group) and granzyme A (h; n = 8 mice/group) were measured in homogenates of lung samples using commercial ELISA kits. Data were normalized to total protein levels measured in the same samples. The boxes in the box-plots show the medians and 25th and 75th percentiles, and the whiskers show the 10th and 90th percentiles. Data were analyzed using a Kruskal–Wallis one-way ANOVA followed by pair-wise testing with Mann–Whitney U tests. *P ≤ 0.025 versus air-exposed mice belonging to the same genotype or the group indicated.
