Significant medication group by time effects (F(1,1797) = 26.22, p < 0.001 for the linear term and F(1,1797) = 6.26, p = 0.01 for the quadratic term). The placebo group had an average of 1.67 times (95% CI = (1.29, 2.16), t1797 = 3.86, p = 0.0001) more heavy drinking days per week than the topiramate group.
