Framework connecting concepts from Theory of Mind (ToM) and Theory of Computing (ToC) to their implications in geriatric psychiatry. *NP problems: P problems can be solved quickly; NP problems can be verified quickly but may be much harder to solve. Whether P equals NP remains an open question. “P” stands for polynomial time, and “NP” stands for nondeterministic polynomial time, meaning they can be solved in polynomial time on a hypothetical nondeterministic machine—essentially, by guessing a solution and then verifying it.
