Adjusted odds ratios (OR) and p-values for binomial outcome were calculated using logistic regression models controlling for sex, race, singleton and small for gestational age status, gestational age, birth weight, maternal conditions such as maternal hypertension, diabetes mellitus, perinatal conditions such as maternal chorioamnionitis, use of betamethasone, or magnesium sulfate, postnatal conditions such as delivery room intubation, use of surfactant therapy, caffeine, dexamethasone. P-values were calculated for continuous variables using Kruskal-Wallis Test.
