When the surface bacterial/viral communities sank into the deep ocean, both lytic and lysogenic VPR significantly increased, which was mainly due to the increased BS, and triggered the switch from the lysogenic to lytic strategy, which was confirmed by the decline in the FLC. However, the VMM and VDR decreased obviously, probably due to cooling inhibition.
