Psychosocial stress was performed from gestational day 6.5 (G6.5) to G17.5. Fetal amygdala qPCR was performed on G17.5. A separate subset of mice was cross-fostered (CF) at birth so as to generate four separate groups for our studies. Functional analysis was carried out in these four groups beginning at postnatal (PN) day 28, including behavior and neuroendocrine characterization. RNA-seq analysis was performed in control and PS offspring amygdala samples and a subset of differentially expressed genes from this analysis were measured in cross-fostered offspring amygdala samples via qPCR.
