Note that the main effect is not significant as expected by the earlier report of the association between the variant and MCI in set D (n = 3178), since the mediation analysis was conducted in a smaller sample, similar to Set A (n = 1490). Effect estimates and p values were obtained from the R median package. ACME average causal mediation effects and ADE average direct effects.
