The subregions include the medial prefrontal thalamus (mPFtha), premotor thalamus (mPMtha), sensory thalamus (Stha), rostral temporal thalamus (rTtha), posterior parietal thalamus (PPtha), occipital thalamus (Otha), caudal temporal thalamus (cTtha), and lateral prefrontal thalamus (lPFtha).
