From: Comprehensive small RNA-sequencing of primary myeloma cells identifies miR-105-5p as a predictor of patient survival

Small RNAs isolated from bone marrow aspirates from 86 multiple myeloma patients were sequenced using high-throughput sequencing. MiRNAs and other small RNAs were identified and quantified by using the databases miRBase and RNACentral, respectively. The expression data was analysed with respect to the patient’s clinical data. An independent cohort with miRNA expression data was used to validate the results from the survival analysis.
