Removal of the f1 ori increases the bactofection capacity of S. Typhimurium-pEGFP. MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with PBS (a); or infected with SL7207 (b); SL-EGFP (c); or SL-pEGFP(-f1) (d) at an MOI of 100:1, for 2 h before fixation with 4% PFA. Subsequently, cells were immunostained using DAPI to stain nuclear material and rhodamine-phalloidin to stain the actin cytoskeleton.
