The TTC staining showed that myocardium infarct size was observably increased in prenatally DEX-exposed adult male offspring than that exposed to NS (a); TUNEL staining was performed on myocardium undergoing I/R. Although TUNEL-positive cells were rarely detected in NS group (bd), DEX exposure led to much more extensive cardiomyocytes apoptosis (e-g). Nucleus stained with DAPI (blue)
