Wild-type fibroblastic cells were transfected with control, BECN1, or LC3B siRNA and western blot was performed to verify the downregulation of BECN1 or LC3B expression (a, b, respectively). β-actin was used as loading control. Cell viability was measured in control (n = 3), BECN1 (n = 3), or LC3B (n = 3) siRNA transfected cells 24 h after vehicle or different doses of erastin treatment (c, d). All data shown are the mean ± SD from three independent experiments. *P < 0.05 indicates significant increase compared with control siRNA
