From: AFP promotes HCC progression by suppressing the HuR-mediated Fas/FADD apoptotic pathway
The interaction between AFP and HuR increases the accumulation of HuR in the cytoplasm and inhibits the translation of Fas mRNA, which leads to cancer cells escaping Fas/FADD mediated apoptosis and affects the chemosensitivity of HCC.
