A549, A549-taxolR, T47D, and T47D-doxR cells after transient transfection of a WT-HSF1 and S303/307E, or b siRNA-HSF1 and S303/307A treated with indicated concentrations of paclitaxel for 24 h. Western blotting was performed. Cell viability was determined by the MTT assay. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD of at least three independent experiments. Protein levels were quantified using Image J software, and data are expressed as the fold change relative to the negative control. Statistics calculated based on a Student’s t-test, *p < 0.05 vs each control (Cont) of parent or resistant cells.
