A–C Macroscopic lesions of 20-month-old Pla2r1−/− mice (n = 26) and their control littermates (n = 17) were counted and analyzed histologically to characterize each lesion. A Percentage (%) of mice displaying macroscopic lesions for each genotype was calculated. P = 0.04 according to two-tailed Fisher exact test.
