LPS stimulated Card9 to recruit Ripk2 during “signalling 1”, followed by Ripk2 disrupt the assembly of ASC/Caspase-1 by competitively binds with Caspase-1 in “signalling 2”. It acts as a balance regulator to protect the intestinal damage caused by sepsis.
