RBM4 binds to pri-miR1244, maintaining the level of miR1244 and inhibiting SERPINE1 expression, whereas depletion of RBM4 reduces the level of miR-1244 by promoting degradation of pri-miR1244, thus increasing SERPINE1 expression and inducing subsequent senescence.
