The activation of USP8 enhances Hippo signaling activity and promotes the progression of breast cancer by deubiquitinating YAP K48 poly-ubiquitination. Furthermore, YAP is capable of inducing USP8 expression, which points to a positive feedback loop with Hippo signaling.
