Glutamine deprivation activates the GCN2–ATF4 pathway while concurrently reducing cFLIPL levels. This reduction, in conjunction with TRAIL-R2/DR5 activation, promotes NF-κB signaling, which, together with ATF4, drives IL-8 gene expression.
