ZNF185 led to the recruitment of Drp1 enzyme, excessive mitochondrial division, and an increase in ROS levels, ultimately resulting in apoptosis through the mitochondrial pathway. Meanwhile, ZNF185 induced apoptosis through endoplasmic reticulum stress.
