• Establishes consent with S&T model |
• Discusses risks and benefits of cataract surgery |
• Discusses refractive outcome and documents provisional refractive target |
• If suitable for offering ISBCS, discusses patient options of ISBCS or DSBCS, the advantages of each and records patients’ preference. |
• If patients’ preference is for S&T ISBCS then discusses that if additional conditions are discovered on the day of surgery, they may not be eligible for surgery on one/both eyes. |
• Any additional questions arising from the S&T booklet or from the phone call are answered. |
