As each animal has two haplotypes per window, subspecies of origin is assigned using the combined subspecies assignment from both haplotypes, where Bi is homozygous Bos indicus origin, Bt is homozygous Bos taurus origin and Bx is heterozygous Bos indicus x Bos taurus origins.
