Detached fruits at different stages were infected with Agrobacterium carrying the eGFP gene driven by the 35CaMV promoter, and the fruits were incubated for 5 days at 25 °C and 100% humidity. a Fruits were detached at the MG, LG, and W stages, comparison between two strawberry varieties (Benihoppe versus Monterey) with respect to phenotypes (upper panel) and GFP fluorescence (lower panel). b qRT-PCR analysis of eGFP expression.
