High temperatures induce CmMYB012 to directly bind to the promoters of CmFNS, CmCHS, CmDFR, CmANS, and CmUFGT and inhibit their expression, leading to a decrease in flavones and anthocyanins. The reduction in flavones and anthocyanins weakens the ability of plants to cope with high-temperature stress and reduces the commercial value of chrysanthemum
