Images are confocal micrographs of lateral root, lateral root meristem, and lateral root epidermal cells (from left to right) in the transgenic Arabidopsis seedlings carrying a pAtCXE15:AtCXE15:GFP construct. The fluorescence from GFP is shown in green and from FM4-64 in red. Three independent transgenic lines were characterized for each genotype and representative seedlings were photographed. The experiments were repeated at least two times independently with similar results.
