Three-dimensional, peridermal, confocal image reconstruction of the surface of one of the same leaf primordia (that is the one with the 5 mm sheath length) shown in the longitudinal image reconstruction presented in Fig. 7e. The red lines delimit the approximate locations where the longitudinal confocal images were collected and compiled for the image in Fig. 7e.
