In the version of this article initially published, due to a figure preparation mistake, there was an error in Extended Data Fig. 6b, where the image shown in the AD-LOC_Os02g44320/BD-Sxp1 / SDl-Leu-Trp (DDO) row (sixth row, first column) was an inadvertent duplicate of the image directly adjacent in column 2. The figure is now amended in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
